Alison Greer

The project manager and company director is Alison Greer. Alison has previously been a social worker for the deaf and a teacher and one of the management team at a special needs school in Stafford.

Mike West

The financial director is Mike West who comes with many years experience as a sales and financial director.

Alison West

Alison West is director in the area of work placements and basic skills. In addition to her City and Guilds level 3 tutor qualification in basic skills, Alison has just completed her NVQ Assessors award in Learning Disabilities.

Elizabeth Salt

Elizabeth Salt is part of the Basic Skills tutor team and additionally has a role as one of the job coaches. She comes to the project with many years experience in training. Liz has recently achieved her NVQ Level 3 qualification in Learning Disabilities.

Jenny West

Jenny has been with the project since its conception in 2003, and is now our Skills for Life manager. Jenny has a BTEC National diploma in Childcare, an NVQ3 in Learning Disabilities, and is currently completing an NVQ level 4 in management. She is also a fully trained first aider.

Support team

Chris Burton - Learner support

Currently working as a tutor/keyworker with our Skills for Life students. Chris has previously worked with special needs pupils in Primary Schools. She joined The Clifford Project staff team in September 2005. Chris is a qualified NNEB and her other skills include counselling, City and Guilds in learning support, sign language and first aid.

David Bridgeford

Dave came to the project in September this year as a Personal assistant working with the Skills for Life students. His background is in Mental Health Nursing and has worked at the Harplands Hospital in Newcastle. Dave has healthcare qualifications and is trained to level one in British Sign Language and is a First Aid trainer.

 

Alison Carnall - Work Placement

Alison has been very busy setting up our network of employer connections, so that our young people can access group and individual work placements. Alison is very successful in obtaining placements for all our young people.

Bob Flower - Learner support

Bob also joined us in September 05 after working as a residential child care officer with post 16 students for 19 years. His special areas are Life and social skills, Leisure and recreational.

 

Bruce Eaglesome - IT support

Bruce joined the project in 2004 and specialises in I.T support, but also runs an Asdan qualification course in work skills. More of his time is now being spent designing new resources for our tutors.

Emma Edmunds - Teacher

Emma joined the Project after teaching in special educational for 25 years. She brings her great enthusiasm, experience and interest in special needs, and she is also a qualified Yoga instructor.

Chris Gamble

Kelly Haynes

Kelly is now working full time as a Tutor/keyworker in the Skills for Life programme. Recently graduated from Derby university with a degree in Psychology and Criminology she is currently working on her NVQ 3 qualification in health and social care. Kelly also likes to help organise and run our holiday club.

 

Ann Hunt - Administration

Ann joined the project in September 05 after making a career on the care side of Social services. Ann job shares with Jackie in admin, but is responsible for all our policies and risk assessments with regard to health and safety. She also makes a lovely cup of tea.

Lisa Lovatt

Lisa came to the project in September this year as a Tutor/ keyworker with Skills for Life students. Her background is in personal care for adults with learning disabilities and was a senior support worker for adults with autism. Lisa has her teaching certificate, is a person-centred planning facilitator, and is First aid trained.

 

Janet Mason

- Project Development Worker

Janet joined the Clifford Project in September 07 and is very pleased to be working for a project which supports young people with learning disabilities in a holistic way. With previous experience in Stoke City Council Youth Services and in a variety of voluntary organisations she wants to attract some additional funding for new projects.

Suzanne Nisbet

Wendy Reynolds

Wendy has just joined the project to give some timetable support, and is hoping that her experience in the hotel and catering industry will be helpful to our young people. Whilst new to the team Wendy really enjoys being involved in this special project.

Helen Sneddon

Jackie Tallent

Jackie joined us in September as a full time support worker with 11 years experience in helping and supporting people in care. She has a GNVQ level 2 in health and social care and an NVQ level 2 in care. Jackie has settled in really well and we all know that she is a real help in the project.

Jackie White - Administration

Jackie joined us from the start, and along with Ann Hunt run our very busy admin office. If you need assistance Jackie's the girl to help. Jackie has recently achieved her NVQ Level 3 qualification in Learning Disabilities.

Cyril Unsworth - Driver/Maintenance

Cyril is one of our drivers and is in charge of maintenance at the project, he can turn his hand to everything, when it goes wrong. Cyril is also a part of the Causeway team that meets once a month at Christchurch.
